Florian Kruse feat. Lazarusman ‘The Proof Of Life’ Out Now

German Producer Florian Kruse makes his full debut on Selador following previous appearances remixing for Several Definitions and as a contributor to our last Showcase compilation.

Here he enlists the South African beat poet, Lazarusman on vocal duties for ‘The Proof Of Life’, an insistent Tech House winner whose DNA traces all the way back to Lil Louis’ electronic benchmark, ‘French Kiss’.

Remixes come courtesy of Italian Paul Ursin who adopts a deeper darker approach while fellow countryman, Paride Saraceni adeptly unlocks the original’s spiritual side.

If it’s proof you need, then look no further.

Team Selador – No doubt

Out Now: Habischman ‘The Way’ EP

habischman-smaller

Following his superb remix on Quivver’s ‘Wait For You’ for Selador last summer, Iman Habibi aka Habischman makes his fully fledged artist debut on Dave Seaman & Steve Parry’s imprint with a four track Extended Player fit for a king.

The Iranian born Berlin resident has been making some tidal sized waves recently with releases on the likes of Moda Black, Noir Music, Steyoyoke & Booka Shade’s Blaufield and in our humble, if slightly biased opinion, this release is positively tsunami-esque.

From the irresistible depth of the title track to the pulsating drama of ‘All I Dream’
and the shimmering zeitgeist house of ‘Skin’ to the seductive bounce of ‘Dub Rumors’,
we are ticking boxes, left, right & centre here. All bases covered. Nailed on home run.

Out Now: Cristoph ‘Foregone Conclusion EP’ Part 2

christoph_2
Hello again and a huge Seladorian sized Happy New Year to one and all. After what was a momentous 2015 for us here at Selador Towers, we’re now primed and ready to make this year even bigger and better. Here to prove it, starting as we mean to go on, is our first release of 2016.
As regular receivers of our music you should already be familiar with the Forgone Conclusion EP by label fave, Cristoph which we released last summer and you may also remember that somewhat unusually for us, the release came with no remixes. Well, we thought it was about time we put that right. And so, in all it’s remixed glory, here is the Forgone Conclusion EP – Part Two.
First up a producer that has been making plenty of noise recently with his releases on the likes of Suara & Noir, the one and only, Kiko. The Frenchman tackles the lead track in his own inimitable signature style, overflowing with zest and prime time intensity. The sound of a man at the top of his game.
Next our very own Dave Seaman returns a favour after Cristoph remixed Dave’s ’Naughty Forest’ release a little over a year ago and our head honcho does us proud on ‘Digging In’. Main room melodics with just a touch of wonk, it’s a belter and no mistake.
Then, it’s the turn of Kevin Over on ‘Moments’ who throws off the shackles of his trademark basement house sound and dons his alternative cap to embark on a journey of dark acidic retro flavoured electronica. Heads down for some proper left of centre gear.
And finally, fashionably late to the party, we welcome Lonya. The resident DJ of the the legendary Cat & Dog club in Tel Aviv gives his deep atmospheric Techno take on ‘Time For Change’. A brooding slab of darkness for those late night floors.
So there you have it, Cristoph and friends, prepared in 4 very different flavours to suit every palate. Tasty business, whichever way you slice it.
Selador Recordings – yum-yum!

OUT NOW: FRAMEWERK ‘FEEL YOU HOLD YOU’ EP

framewerk-2And so, as 2015 reaches its closing stages, Selador Recordings proudly present our final release of the year. To finish off in style, please step forward Darren James & Alec Milliner, aka Framewerk, a UK duo that have been on our radar for some time but we believe have excelled themselves here, delivering their finest work to date on the ‘Feel You Hold You’ EP.

The Original Mix (10 points for anyone who can guess the vocal sample by the way) has already made it onto Dave Seaman’s forthcoming Beyond Borders: Berlin mix compilation in all it’s deep, atmospheric glory and then on remix duties we have friend of the label, John ‘Quivver’ Graham plus one of our favourite Techno producers, man of the moment, Sasha Carassi. Both have turned in stellar performances befitting of the occasion, each with their own distinct sound and flavour. Place your bets people, pick a winner.

Completing the package is a track that will be instantly familiar to anyone who was clubbing in the mid 90s. Dee Patten’s ‘Who’s The Badman’ is considered a stone cold classic in many circles and this 2015 remake gives it a whole new lease of life. A Brucie bonus definitely not to be missed.
