Despite having known each other for the best part of two decades, Luke Brancaccio & Steve Parry surprisingly, didn’t actually formally meet until 2018. It will come as no surprise however to learn it was their shared passion for dance music that eventually brought them together.
It could have all worked out differently when back in 2005, Luke didn’t make it to a gig Steve booked him for at his infamous Alderaan nights in Liverpool but that’s a story for another day and their friendship continued to flourish online, blossoming further when Selador signed one of Luke’s tracks for the label’s 5th Birthday project.
It was around this time that the idea of a collaboration was mooted which is where our story gathers pace. The result, as you’d expect, is something special as the duo draw upon their combined wealth of DJ, clubbing and production experience to create a peak time juggernaut by the name of ‘Control Machine’.
This straight-for-the-jugular beast is also accompanied by an equally large remix courtesy of Brazilian legend, Renato Cohen who builds upon the original’s relentless bassline adding yet more unbridled power and energy.
Together, it’s a double barrelled weapon alert!

Spanish Producer EdOne is rapidly becoming something of a star player in the ongoing Selador story.
Just this year alone he’s made key contributions to our latest Showcase compilation and the recent Christian Nielsen EP and now with his own 3 track EP, let’s just say we’re rather enamoured his work right now. We’ve certainly got more riding on him than most.
The Never Alone EP showcases his range perfectly, from the rousing ingenuity of the lead track, through the pure wonky brilliance of ‘LFO Hammer’ to the mystical allure of ’Simplicity’, the strength, depth and consistency of his productions are clear to see and even more importantly.. hear!
Team Selador – backing winners since forever!
French Producer Acumen is very much part of the furniture these days here at Selador HQ. So much so, it’s high time he had his own key to the front door! With several releases already under his belt not to mention a string of remixes, he’s now back with another 3 tracker that’s all set turn heads and ruffle a few feathers in the process.
We get sent a lot of music from Antoine. Prolific doesn’t even cover it. No sooner had he dropped an artist album earlier in the summer for his own Time Has Changed imprint, than 3 weeks later, he sent us another album’s worth of material, all of the highest quality. Our only problem was picking out our 3 favourites. Hard work or hardly working? You decide 😉
So here they are. In all their glory. Take your pick.
It’s a win, win situation.
Team Selador – Someone’s gotta do it!
Spanish Producer, EdOne makes a welcome return to Selador following his highly acclaimed debut last year and again his production prowess is on display for all to see. Back with a brace of badass originals that instantly grabbed the attention of label bosses Seaman & Parry who were overheard to say they stood out from the daily avalanche of demos like “a porcupine in a nudist colony” 😉
‘Bipolar’ sets the tone with it’s brooding percussive backbone and climatic melodic surges while the equally impressive ‘Devastate’ lives up to it’s name with a heady mix of rich dark melodies and spicy Eastern flavours leaving a full-blown trail of destruction. An intoxicating concoction indeed.
Adding fuel to the fire, our old friend, John ‘Quivver’ Graham then lends a hand on remix duties turning ‘Bipolar’ into a finely tuned specimen drawn from a perfectly judged sound palette like only John knows how. As per 🙂
Selador Recordings – Just the right amount of wonk!
The Tel Aviv electronic music scene has been a fertile ground for DJ/Producers of a deep melodic (some may say “Progressive”) persuasion in recent years. Centred around such legendary clubs as The Cat & The Dog and Haoman 17 (both now defunct), there has been a long list of talent to emerge out of their legacies.
Chico Shuella (aka Chicola) is one such artist. A player whose wealth of experience and expertise shines through here on 3 tracks of the utmost quality and distinction. From ‘Cachengue’s laid-back swagger to the self-assured splendour of ‘Mandragora’ and the rolling peak time energy of ‘The Black Hall’, it’s an EP for all occasions. No remixes required.
