The Selador Showcase series returns with another bumper edition of cherry picked beauties, all primed and ready for action over the forthcoming festive season.

The compilation draws a line under what has been another fantastic year for Selador and looks ahead to 2018 when the label plans to celebrate its 5th birthday in fine style. Watch this space.

The Sixth Statement is a thoroughly European affair comprising of half-a-dozen choice cuts that run the gamut of modern underground progressive house. The genre has been much maligned over the last decade but 2017 was undoubtedly the year it made a long overdue comeback in the credibility stakes and this EP is definitely testament to that.

From label boss Steve Parry’s peak time acid power of ‘303V’ to Dutch legend Jaydee’s mind melting ’Rasputin’, through Namito’s Berlin-styled melodic journey, ’Pyramid Scheme Of Ambitions’ and Stelios Vassiloudis & Nils Nuernberg’s expertly crafted modernist ’Eyes Turned Skywards’ before rounding off with two up and coming producers we predict are set for very bright futures. Out of Switzerland comes Ilona Maras with the lo-slung deep, druggy vibe of ‘Onegin’ oozing class from each and every pore and finally, from France, Dorian Craft unleashes a roof raising monster in ‘Pleia’.

A fitting end to a vintage year.

Progressive House is dead. Long live Progressive House.
