The clue? Our ‘14th Adventure’ Showcase was sub-titled ‘part one’. This could only mean that Part Two was hot on its heels…which in turn could only mean that we had such a plethora of hot new music that we had to spread it over two releases. A dancefloor double drop if you will. Vamos…
First up, Tel Aviv main player Adam Ten made quite a splash with his Selador debut last year, when partnering with Mita Gami. Adam returns here in tandem with another fellow Israeli Dor Danino on Zurnita, where a quirky and distinctive synth motif rides atop a classic bassline. Stand out.
Already previewed on Dave Seaman’s Radio Therapy show, our second collaboration sees the teaming up of Argentina producer’s Djolee and Marvio with Final Wound, a heads down riff-tastic piledriver, pure peak time gear. Wonktastic!
Moving on to Spain next, where it’s a warm welcome back for Thimble, whose Impala (with Martin HERRS) graced Showcase 12. This time riding solo, Scarred is one dark muthafunka of a tune, concluding with duelling pianos ‘n’ synths that will truly twist your melons.
Having just graced the decks for Selador Sessions, Vanita, resident at Zurich’s legendary Hive club, makes her label debut with Postquam where an atmospheric intro gives way to a hypnotic gem ,perfectly straddling the fine line between melancholic and euphoric.
And finally, a longstanding member of the Selador family, Kiz Pattison is back, following up Intruder from Showcase 12 and the recent remix package on Beam of Light (his mighty collab with Micah) with Wandering, a banger of considerable proportions.
