Spanish Producer EdOne is rapidly becoming something of a star player in the ongoing Selador story.
Just this year alone he’s made key contributions to our latest Showcase compilation and the recent Christian Nielsen EP and now with his own 3 track EP, let’s just say we’re rather enamoured his work right now. We’ve certainly got more riding on him than most.
The Never Alone EP showcases his range perfectly, from the rousing ingenuity of the lead track, through the pure wonky brilliance of ‘LFO Hammer’ to the mystical allure of ’Simplicity’, the strength, depth and consistency of his productions are clear to see and even more importantly.. hear!
Team Selador – backing winners since forever!
As the dust settles on our 100th release celebrations with all its pomp and ceremony, it’s time to get back to life, back to reality, to what we do best, back to the business of serving up the freshest, quality club music from some of the World’s finest Electronic Music Producers.
And what better way to do that than with a debut EP for the label from Christian Nielsen. It’s likely that anyone with even a passing interest in dance music will have encountered the Danish Producer’s work at some point. Through his releases on such esteemed labels as Kompakt, Toolroom and FFRR, his resumé speaks for itself.
Here he offers a brace of heavenly creations in ‘After Midnight’ & ‘Indestructible’ with two of our most trusted label stalwarts, EdOne & Florian Kruse both chipping in with their own perspectives, adding further weight to an already hefty package.
In many ways, this EP exemplifies all we stand for with its finger firmly on-the-pulse of contemporary dance music, full of flair and imagination yet unwavering in its primary objective, to light up the dance floor.
Here’s to the next hundred.
Team Selador – Back in the saddle
The much lauded Selador Showcase compilation series returns with another collection of the freshest club cuts and once again is positively overflowing with international flavours. From Berlin to Buenos Aires via Spain, Canada, Italy, Holland and more, established artists such as James Teej, EdOne, Jaydee and Joris Biesmans sit alongside newer names such as Interaxxis, Artche, Collective States, Tumbling Fields and Impellizeri & Stupia, all connected by one common thread – the Selador stamp of approval. This instalment comes in a DJ Mix format for the first time with bossman Steve Parry expertly and seamlessly glueing everything together for your listening pleasure and also contains a very special exclusive offering from the man himself entitled ‘Michelada’ which is already riding high in the Beatport rankings. Not to be missed.
Team Selador x
Spanish Producer, EdOne makes a welcome return to Selador following his highly acclaimed debut last year and again his production prowess is on display for all to see. Back with a brace of badass originals that instantly grabbed the attention of label bosses Seaman & Parry who were overheard to say they stood out from the daily avalanche of demos like “a porcupine in a nudist colony” 😉
‘Bipolar’ sets the tone with it’s brooding percussive backbone and climatic melodic surges while the equally impressive ‘Devastate’ lives up to it’s name with a heady mix of rich dark melodies and spicy Eastern flavours leaving a full-blown trail of destruction. An intoxicating concoction indeed.
Adding fuel to the fire, our old friend, John ‘Quivver’ Graham then lends a hand on remix duties turning ‘Bipolar’ into a finely tuned specimen drawn from a perfectly judged sound palette like only John knows how. As per 🙂
Selador Recordings – Just the right amount of wonk!
It’s time to unveil Selador’s latest signing as Spanish producer EdOne joins the cause following a string of releases on such high profile imprints as Suara, Stil Vor Talent & Mood. An acquisition whose cultured artistry will slot straight in to the way we play.
His two original productions lead the line here with ‘Balsam’ taking centre stage. A wonderfully engaging slice of modernistic dance floor electronica. Upfront, lean & mean.
Its partner in crime meanwhile, the compelling ‘Caramel’ follows, bristling with restless energy and brooding, subtle intricacies. More restrained maybe but no less effective. Strength in depth.
And our now customary brace of remixes come courtesy of two long time friends of the label whose credentials speak for themselves. Step forward, Greek kingpin Stelios Vassiloudis and our man down under, Australia’s finest, Jamie Stevens. Two heroes who have never taken their eye off the ball and are still top of their game.
Four wins out of four then. Tekkers!
